1. Listen to Music
This is the simplest and very effective way of moving our thoughts from negativity to melody of music. You can listen to your favorite classical music or play any other slow, quiet, soothing music with low tempo. A soothing music can quiet your mind, relax your muscles and relieve the stress. Just lie down on bed or couch, close your eyes and enjoy the music.
This type of music before bedtime promotes peace and relaxation and helps to induce sleep.
2. Sing with Music
Singing along with music can be a great release of whole day’s tension. when in stress, take a shower and sing with or without music. Don’t worry if you think you are not a good singer; this is not about performing. Just enjoy the feeling of melody moving through you.
3. Play a Musical Instrument
Playing music on your favorite instrument is both fun and a challenging cognitive exercise, making your brain fitter and more capable of accommodating the challenges of aging. According to a study published by the American Psychological Association, playing an instrument keeps the mind sharper as we age.
Another study, done at the University of Kansas Medical Center, found that musicians performed better on several cognitive tests than individuals who had never studied an instrument or learned how to read music.
4. Take Service of Music Therapists
Generally it is not required to go to a Music therapist, but you may go to one if you want to. Music therapy is the skilful use of music and musical elements by an accredited music therapist to promote, maintain, and restore mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health. They may play music for you or with you, or even teach you how to play an instrument.

Various studies done by scientists so far have suggested that this music has significant effects on the cardiovascular system and influences significantly blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, anxiety, and pain.
Mozart’s music and baroque music, with a 60 beats per minute beat pattern, activate the left and right brain. The simultaneous left and right brain action maximizes learning and retention of information. The information being studied activates the left brain while the music activates the right brain. Also, activities which engage both sides of the brain at the same time, such as playing an instrument or singing, cause the brain to become more capable of processing information.
