Causes of Gas
The two primary reasons of gas are the swallowing of air, scientifically referred to as aerophagia which occurs whenever you drink or eat something. Common examples of these are belching and burping. This occurs due to an excess amount of gas getting accumulated in your in intestines. One thing to take note of is that the body does not get rid of all the excess gas. Some of it goes to your small intestine and it exits the body in the form of an unpleasant odor commonly known as farting.

The foods to be blamed for this are ironically the healthy foods that you eat such as dairy products (which are rich in lactose), grains vegetables etc. The reason is that in them, fact that they are fiber-rich foods. Here, the body mostly employs the flatulence (or farting) method for removing gas from the body.

- Control your intake of gas rich foods: The main offenders here being chewing gum, sugar-free sweets, cauliflower, onions, garlic, etc. also should you be intolerant to lactose, then lessen the intake of dairy products

- Quit Smoking: The smoke to your lungs through your mouth causing gas. And it is very difficult for the body to eliminate the gas formed due to smoking and can also result in other problems like constipation
